Software Installation

The said application
has been kindly sponsored by Intergraph HK Limited. Three
(3) products, namely, GeoMedia (desktop version), GeoMedia
Web Map (accessible via Internet/Intranet), and GeoMedia Web
Enterprise (server-based) have been successfully installed
week of
Dec. 11.

The
GeoMedia softwares are able to,

Access,
extract, integrate, and share many types of data from
different configurations (i.e. no restrictions on platforms); |
|
|
Support
data-type connection of multiple environments; |
|
|
Customize layouts; |
|
|
Is
compatible with standard Windows development tools. |

The GeoMedia Web Map
was recently applied by the Geotechnical Engineering
Office (GEO) of the Civil Engineering Dept. (CED) to
arrange existing slop information onto the Internet
as part of the HK Slope Safety Website. The website
allows users to trace information directly at any time
of the day. Information for slopes at a specific location
can be retrieved by end-users.
